The All-Star Game of high school and college baseball will be held in Daejeon again this year.
Hanwha Eagles announced on the 22nd that they have promised to hold regular high school and college All-Star games with the Korea Baseball Softball Association (KBSA) to revitalize amateur baseball.
Hanwha signed a business agreement with KBSA at its team office in Daejeon Hanwha Life Eagles Park. The agreement aims to hold the All-Star Game held for the first time last year.
Through this agreement, Hanwha Eagles and KBSA will establish a cooperative system for holding high school and college All-Star games for two years until 2025 and actively cooperate with each other to increase the development and interest of baseball. In addition, the discussion will continue in the future amid the consensus that the event will continue in two years.
The Hanwha team explained, "We planned the high school and university All-Star Game and successfully held the first competition with the full cooperation of KBSA after considering how to support amateur baseball, which is not limited to the location due to the abolition of the first nomination last year. Hanwha Eagles paid for all expenses, including the provision of the stadium, and KBSA provided support for high-quality games, including the selection of participating players."
At the 1st High School and College All-Star Game held at Hanwha Life Eagles Park in Daejeon on June 6 last year, a number of future professional baseball stars selected in the 2024 KBO rookie draft, including Hwang Joon-seo (then Jangchung High School), a left-hander who joined Hanwha as the No. 1 overall, appeared in front of baseball fans. College baseball was also highlighted, with Jeon Da-min (then Gangneung Yeongdong University), who was nominated by the Doosan Bears, winning the MVP of the tournament.
KBSA awarded Park Chan-hyuk, CEO of Hanwha Eagles, a plaque of appreciation in December last year. His contributions to revitalizing amateur baseball, motivating students, and suggesting a model for supporting amateur baseball by professional teams were highly praised. 헤라카지노도메인
"It is meaningful that the final season (2024) of Hanwha Life Eagles Park and the first season of the new stadium (2025) will be joined by the high school and university All-Star Game," CEO Park Chan-hyuk said. "Hanwha Eagles will continue to play their duties and roles as a professional team by developing the high school and university All-Star Game into an amateur baseball festival venue in close cooperation with KBSA."
